ICE, The Economy, Layoffs, & The Snowstorm

I’ll pause the usual money talk to acknowledge what’s going on. There’s a lot happening!

ICE is violating people’s rights.
Conversations about immigration statuses feel uncertain.
Corporations are announcing layoffs.
The snowstorm hit several states hard.
People are feeling less confident about the economy.

If you’ve been feeling distracted, on edge, overwhelmed, or just tired - I see you. Your nervous system is taking in a lot.

Allah is here and He sees it all.

Don’t carry it alone in your head.
Make du’a.
Stay connected to your community.
Check on a friend.
Let someone check on you too.

This is one of those seasons where we lean into faith, community, and the quiet trust that Allah sees everything and He is the Most Just.

I pray Allah brings safety to our communities, puts barakah in our affairs, and replaces the anxiety with peace.
