When talking to people about money, sometimes they tell me, “More is always better, right?”

Um… no. Not always.

We live in a world that glorifies “more.”

More income streams.
More side hustles.
More investments.
More everything.

And yet, how often do we stop and ask: For what?

I’ve been privileged to meet people whose greatest wish in life was to have… a donkey. Yes, a donkey. One to carry water, help them run errands, make daily life a little easier.

And also I’ve met people in the top 10% of earners with degrees, savings, nice jobs; yet their hearts weren’t at peace. Not even close.

That contrast always hits me. It reminds me of what the Prophet ﷺ taught:

This hadith reshaped how I see money. 

That’s why we’ve shifted the focus of Finance Girlie! It’s no longer about stacking “more” just because the world tells you to. It’s about living in financial peace; so that money is a tool to live the life you want, not a stress point that keeps you up at night.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for dreaming big and building your empire. But goals without purpose feel like noise. Success isn’t someone else’s highlight reel. Success starts with your values.

When you define “enough” for yourself, money stops being an empty thing to run after, it becomes a tool for impact, generosity, security, and for growth that actually matters.
